Summer Sounds 2008
Bring a lawn chair, blanket and picnic to these seven outdoor performances! Concerts begin at 7 p.m., and the cost is $8-adults, $5-children, and $20-families, unless otherwise noted.
All concerts take place in the amphitheatre at Michigan Legacy Art Park. Rides to the amphitheatre from the parking lot are available. In the event of rain, concerts will be held indoors at Crystal Mountain.

Grand Traverse Pipes and Drums* Playing the Great Highland Bagpipes and the Scottish snare drum, the Grand Traverse Highlanders Pipe Band continues a thousand-year tradition of uniquely Gaelic music. |

Family Night at the Park!
Song of the Lakes* The first half of the program will be original music that tells the story of Paddle to the Sea, a 1941 children's classic by Holling Clancy Holling about a small canoe carved by an Indian boy that makes a journey from Lake Superior all the way to the Atlantic Ocean.
An art activity for children, based on the book, will be offered during the second set.
The second set will feature music that is rich in legend and harmony and invites listeners to protect, appreciate, and enjoy our sweet water jewels.
