Winter fun, hot chocolate and art!
 
THOMPSONVILLE, MICH – Discover art and winter fun with hot chocolate and a leisurely snowshoe trek through Michigan Legacy Art Park. Meet at the Art Park trailhead between 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010.

 
Snowshoe d’ Art is one of the many activities planned during Women’s Winter Tour Weekend at Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa. Snowshoe d’ Art is open to everyone—women and men of all ages—even if you are not participating in the Women’s Winter Tour. 
 
Enjoy the warming station at the Art Park trailhead: a bon-fire, hot chocolate, coffee, fresh doughnuts and fruit – provided by Bud's of Interlochen!
 
$15* per person.  Register before midnight on Thursday, February 4 and get $5 off ticket price! *Fee does not include snowshoe rentals.

Snowshoe d’Art benefits Michigan Legacy Art Park, Active Women Now, Inc., and the Zonta House of Benzie. 
 
Snowshoe Demos & Rentals
Complimentary snowshoes demos will be available from S&S Snowshoes. Their snowshoes are made by hand in northern Michigan, and built from recycled tires. Purchase snowshoes during Snowshoe d’Art and S&S Snowshoes will donate $10 to Active Women Now. Learn more at www.SSsnowshoes.com.
 
Snowshoe rentals are available at Crystal's Park at Water’s Edge, 800.968.7686 ext. 7000. Reservations recommended, quantity is limited.

Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa and Michigan Legacy Art Park received the Governor’s Award for Innovative Tourism Collaboration in March 2009. Michigan Legacy Art Park is a 501(c)3 non-profit located on a 30-acre preserve leased by Crystal Mountain for $1 per year. Michigan Legacy Art Park features over 40 outdoor sculptures that celebrate Michigan’s culture and history along 1.6 miles of wooded hiking trails.
 
Snowshoe d’Art and Women’s Winter Tour are presented by the nonprofit organization Active Women Now, working to build awareness of domestic abuse and support local women charities.
