The Legacy Gala is the signature fundraising event for Michigan Legacy Art Park. The 2012 event will feature local food and wine, music by cellist Crispin Campbell, a keynote address by historic preservation architect Michael Quinn, and the presentation of the Legacy Award.
The Legacy Award is bestowed annually by Michigan Legacy Art Park to recognize those who have made a positive impact on Michigan’s arts, history or culture. The 2012 recipients of the Legacy Award will be Robert and Jane Holdeman.
The Holdemans have always advocated for the arts in the life of the individual and the life of their community of Traverse City. As an architect, Bob’s work is characterized and prized for achieving harmony with the site and for demonstrating his love of nature. Jane is committed to access to the arts and literature and has worked on many successful educational projects throughout rural northern Michigan. Together they have done everything they can to support the arts and believe that setting a good example is the best way to share their convictions.
The Legacy Gala will be held at Crystal Mountain Resort & Spa on August 18, 2012 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Funds raised will help the Art Park continue to provide a rich cultural experience and valuable learning opportunities for thousands of area residents and visitors each year.
Tickets are $60 per person. Seating is limited. Sponsorship opportunities are available.
