Art - Caroline Court

In concert with three schools, Brethren School in Manistee County and Edmondson School and YouthBuild in Detroit, Caroline Court conceptualized, fabricated and installed a sculptural bench, Complements Hands Hearts Cars Carts, which appears to be a large wheel rising from the ground. The classic relationship between the natural world and mineral resources of the Upper Peninsula and the manufacturing prowess of southeastern Michigan are symbolized in the materials, colors, and geometrical forms used in the project.  

Court has installations at the Ambassador Bridge, Detroit Zoological Institute and several Detroit schools. She has taught students of all ages in several public and private school settings in southeast lower Michigan. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Wayne State University and her Master of Fine Arts degree from University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.
